It somehow managed to break Omen and other Ace2-dependent Addons. I still don't know how. I ultimately had to delete my Addons folder and rebuild it. Plus it only recognized/update about 6 of the 30-or-so addons I use. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone... I tried this and removed it the same day. So I switched to JWoWUpdater (http://code.google.com/p/jwowupdater/) which is written entirely in Java and should work on Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. No problems with it at all so far. Probably about 90% of my addons are Ace and I think I would go a little bit crazy if I tried to update them manually.
